The three things that decide it
- 1The bondDiamond grinding removes the weak top layer of concrete and opens its pores, to a profile of about CSP 2–3, so the base coat soaks in. Etching or just washing leaves a surface a coating can only sit on.
- 2The buildA full base coat, a full flake broadcast and a real topcoat add up to a thick, tough layer; polyaspartic coats go on at about 6–12 mils dry each. A single thin roll-on coat is what hot tires peel up.
- 3The slabMoisture coming up through the concrete, oil, old sealers and settled sections all need handling before coating.
