By April, a Wisconsin driveway has a winter of road salt dried onto it, tire marks at the apron, and maybe an orange trail from the fertilizer spreader. You want it clean. You also want to know whether that's worth paying for, or whether a rental and a free Saturday will do.
Here's what concrete cleaning in Green Bay costs with us, how that stacks up against national pressure washing cost guides, how stain treatment fits in, and the honest math on renting, buying, and hiring.
Our Cleaning Prices
We price cleaning in packages, by the total area we clean on one visit. Every package covers protecting plants and siding, pre-treating oil, rust, and mildew stains, cleaning the flat areas with a rotary surface cleaner in even passes, detailing the edges, rinsing, and keeping runoff out of the storm drain.
| Package | Area on one visit | Our price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Up to 1,600 sq ft | $950 |
| Large | Up to 1,800 sq ft | $1,100 |
| Between Large and Extensive | 1,800–2,500 sq ft | $1,100–$1,500, priced from your photos |
| Extensive | Over 2,500 sq ft | From $1,500 |
Here's what that means for some common jobs:
| Job | Typical size | Package | Works out to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Garage apron alone | About 100 sq ft | Standard, $950 | $9.50 per sq ft |
| Walk, stoop, and back patio | About 350 sq ft | Standard, $950 | About $2.71 per sq ft |
| Two-car driveway, 20 × 24 | 480 sq ft | Standard, $950 | About $1.98 per sq ft |
| Driveway, walk, and patio together | About 830 sq ft | Standard, $950 | About $1.14 per sq ft |
| Three-car driveway, walks, and patio | About 1,300 sq ft | Standard, $950 | About $0.73 per sq ft |
| Long three-car driveway, walks, patio, and apron | About 1,750 sq ft | Large, $1,100 | About $0.63 per sq ft |
Look at the first five rows. They're all $950. Standard is the starting price for any cleaning visit, so a garage apron by itself costs the same as a three-car driveway with its walks and patio. It makes the most sense for a whole driveway-and-walks clean, or when cleaning is booked alongside sealing or a lift. If one small slab is all that needs it, that's a lot to pay, and renting or a hose and broom (both below) will usually serve you better. If several areas need it, put them all on the same visit.
How we figure your package: we add up every area you want cleaned on that visit, from your photos and a few measurements. Up to 1,800 square feet, the package price is set, with stain pre-treatment and edge work included. Between 1,800 and 2,500 square feet, we price from your photos, somewhere from $1,100 to $1,500. Over 2,500, Extensive starts at $1,500 and the photos set the rest.
How that compares
| Cost guide (updated) | Per square foot | Typical driveway |
|---|---|---|
| Angi (2026) | $0.20–$0.40 | $100–$250 on average, up to about $500 for big or very dirty ones |
| HomeGuide (June 2026) | $0.08–$0.35 basic; $0.20–$0.40 with a surface cleaner | $100–$350 for a two-car driveway (400–700 sq ft) |
| HomeAdvisor (June 2026) | $0.30–$0.55 | $175–$320 for a 576 sq ft driveway |
| Fixr | $0.30–$0.40 | $180–$240 for 600 sq ft |
HomeGuide puts typical minimums at $75–$150.
Here's the straight comparison. Fully used, our packages work out to about $0.59–$0.61 a square foot: $950 over 1,600 square feet, $1,100 over 1,800, or $1,500 over 2,500. That's above the top of every per-foot range in the table, HomeAdvisor's $0.55 included. On a single 480-square-foot driveway, our $950 works out to about $1.98 a foot, more than double every typical driveway price above and well past Angi's high end of about $500. And our starting price is far above HomeGuide's $75–$150 minimums, because it's a package priced for a whole driveway and walks, not a minimum for one slab.
Part of the gap is what's in the package. HomeGuide lists stain treatments on top of the washing price (see the next section), and ours are already in, along with edge work and runoff control. Still, if one driveway is all you want washed, a basic wash at the national prices above, or a rental, will usually cost less than we do.
Stain Treatment Is Included
General grime, salt film, tire marks, and leaf stains come off in the main cleaning. Stains that soaked in need their own pre-treatment, matched to what they are, and that's part of every package. There's no per-spot charge.
| Stain | Usual source | In our packages | What to expect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oil and other fluids | Cars, mowers, snowblowers | Pre-treated, included | Fresh drips usually come out. Old, soaked-in spots often lighten and leave a shadow. |
| Rust | Fertilizer, metal furniture, sprinklers on iron-rich well water | Pre-treated, included | Usually fades a lot. Old, deep rust may not fully disappear. The remover gets spot-tested first. |
| Mold, mildew, algae | Shade and moisture | Pre-treated, included | Comes clean. Shady, damp spots grow back eventually. |
| Salt film, tire marks, leaves, berries | Winter, traffic, trees | Included | Comes off in the main cleaning |
Even stains that cover most of a slab, like rust trails across a whole driveway, get pre-treated as part of the package. Send close-ups so we can tell you how far they're likely to fade.
For comparison, HomeGuide's June 2026 driveway guide lists oil stain removal at about $25–$50 per stain, specialty oil, rust, and mold treatments at about $25–$100 or more, and mold or algae pre-treatment at about $20–$75. In those guides, they're on top of the washing price. In our packages, they're already counted.
Tell us which stains bug you. Pre-treatment is already in the package, so this isn't about price: it tells us where to spend the dwell time and a second round. If a few stains on one small slab are all that bother you, $950 is a lot to spend on them, so try them yourself first with our guides to cleaning oil off concrete, removing rust, and cleaning mold off concrete.
Rent, Buy, or Hire: One Driveway, Three Ways
Here's the same 20 × 24 driveway, cleaned three different ways.
| Rent for a day | Buy a machine | Hire us | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Out of pocket | About $100–$175: gas pressure washer $70–$100, surface cleaner $20–$50, detergent $10–$25 | Roughly $100–$1,000 for the machine, plus a surface cleaner if you want an even finish | $950 for the Standard package, stain pre-treatment included. The same $950 also covers the walks, patio, and apron, up to 1,600 sq ft in all |
| Your time | Pickup, a few hours of work, cleanup, and the return trip | A few hours each time, plus storage and upkeep | Moving the cars |
| What can go wrong | Stripes or etching from a narrow tip held too close, and runoff headed for the street | The same, plus draining the pump before it sits in a freezing garage | Ours to get right |
| Makes sense if | You clean once a year and don't mind the work | You'll wash several things, several times a year | You're cleaning the whole property, it's getting sealed or lifted next, or you want it even and done once |
Rental and detergent figures: Angi (Aug. 2026) and HomeGuide (June 2026). Purchase range: Angi (Aug. 2026).
On a single driveway, a one-day rental runs about $100–$175, and our Standard package is $950. Even after fuel and a drive to the rental counter, renting is far cheaper for one slab, and we'd rather say so up front. The math changes when you fill the package: the same $950 covers the driveway, the walks, the patio, and the apron, up to 1,600 square feet, with the stains pre-treated.
Renting wins on price for a single driveway or patio, and even more when you're also washing the fence that same day, so one rental covers several jobs.
Buying wins when you'll use it several times a year for years. A small electric unit sits at the cheap end of that range, but surface cleaners list minimum pressure and flow ratings that smaller machines may not meet, so check both before you buy. Living in Wisconsin, plan on draining or winterizing the pump every fall if it's stored in an unheated garage.
Hiring wins when it's the whole property rather than one slab, when you want an even, stripe-free result the first time, when the stains need more than soap, or when the concrete is getting sealed or lifted next, since the cleaning has to be good enough for sealer to soak in evenly. Our guide to pressure washing concrete covers how to avoid the stripes if you go the DIY route.
What Changes the Price, and What Doesn't
Area is what picks your package. Up to 1,800 square feet, the rest of this list changes how long we're there, not what you pay. Past 1,800 square feet, it's what moves a quote within its range.
Size and shape
Area sets the package. Shape changes the work: open rectangles go fast, while a walk with steps, planters, and lawn edges takes longer per square foot, because the edges get cleaned by hand at lower pressure.
What's on it
Ordinary grime and salt film come off in the main cleaning, and pre-treating oil, rust, and mildew is in every package. Those stains take their own products, dwell time, and sometimes a second round, which is time on our side, not a line on your quote.
The surface itself
Broom-finished concrete is the baseline. HomeGuide says pavers, brick, and stamped concrete run about 10–25% more to wash, and textured surfaces do take longer. Flaking spots get a gentler touch, which slows things down, and very fragile concrete shouldn't be pressure washed at all. We'll tell you from the photos.
Water in
We hook up to your outdoor faucet, so the water shows up on your water bill, not on our quote. Make sure the faucet is on and working before we come. In spring, that sometimes means turning the outside water back on for the season.
Water out
Storm drains don't go to a treatment plant. What goes in flows untreated to the nearest creek, river, or the bay. Northeast Wisconsin's regional stormwater group says wash water in a storm drain is prohibited and can bring a fine. Sweeping first, steering runoff onto lawn or gravel, blocking the drain when the slope heads that way, and using only as much cleaner as each stain needs all take time, and runoff control is part of every package. If a bid seems suspiciously low, ask where the water goes.
Reach
A patio behind a fence, a walk down a slope, or a slab far from the driveway means more hose to run and more trips back and forth.
Pairing Cleaning With Sealing, Caulking, or a Lift
Cleaning is the first step of most other concrete work, so it often rides along. Bundling cleaning with sealing, caulking, or a lift can lower the overall price, and your quote shows the combined number.
- Clean and seal: sealing runs $0.40–$0.90 per square foot, depending on the sealer and how thirsty the concrete is, and most residential sealing jobs land between $640 and $1,000 or more. Cleaning comes first, and booked together it's one job. On a full 1,600-square-foot Standard area, priced one at a time, that's $950 to clean plus $640–$1,440 to seal, or $1,590–$2,390 in all. Booked together, bundling can bring that down. Details in concrete sealing cost.
- Caulking: a clean slab shows every open joint and crack the grime was hiding. Sealing them runs $5–$10 per linear foot. Booked on its own, caulking has a $275 minimum; added to a lift, there's no separate caulking minimum. See concrete caulking cost.
- With a lift: cleaning goes on the same quote as the lift and happens first. The lift itself carries a $450 minimum.
When it all happens together, the order is clean, let it dry, lift, patch the holes, caulk, and seal once the caulk has cured. It's one booking, but usually more than one visit. Our cleaning process walks through cleaning day itself, and our pricing page shows how our other work is priced.
When You Don't Need to Pay Anyone
- It's just dusty. A hose and a push broom will do it.
- It's the spring salt film. A rinse with plain water and a stiff broom on a mild day takes off most of it.
- There are a few fresh oil drips. A store-bought degreaser and a scrub brush usually handle them, especially if you get to them early.
- It was poured in the last month. New concrete shouldn't be pressure washed yet.
- It's a garage floor that's just dirty. A broom, a degreaser, and a hose. We only degrease garage floors as part of coating prep.
